Tell us about Team Wilson 44?
TeamWilson44 Is family run Super Sedan team from Townsville, North Queensland.Trent Wilson is a 2nd generation driver and has been racing Speedway for now over 20 years (started when 16). The team consists of Glen Wilson, Jan Wilson (team owners-Dad, Mum) Glen Wilson raced speedway for over 30 years around North Queensland. Our pit crew on any given night is Lauren Wilson (Trent’s Wife), Ben Lawrence (Friend), Leigh Potter (friend-Ararat Victoria), Barry (Lauren’s Dad). We teamwilson44 race regularly in SE Queensland, and interstate. Inc, NSW, VIC, SA, TAS
The Team has a big commitment to the sport?
We do have a big commitment to the sport of speedway and our racing class Super Sedans (Super Sedans are the premier Speedway Sedans Australia class). For the previous 2 seasons we have supported the Super Sedan Association QLD series (15-17 round series-From Rockhampton to Lismore) due to being 1350km from Brisbane (where the majority of racing is, we choose to base our racecar in Ipswich and fly in/out to as many races as we can attend as possible.

Molytec Australia has been Our major sponsor since 2008. Our livery has been Cobra-Cote from 2008-2019, then 2020 we were Ultraloc and 2021 we will again be Cobra-cote.
Plans for the new season in 2021/22?
Our plans for season 2021/2022 season are a little up in the air at moment. The 21/22 Super Sedan Australia Title is in Latrobe, Tasmania (we finished 6th in the last Australian title @ Mt Gambier 19/20) - no 20/21 title due to Covid - but we are still unsure weather we are going to go to Tasmania, as we don’t want to run the risk of getting caught there or in Victoria with Covid etc… we plan on running as many rounds in Qld again, and some interstate travel to Lismore Speedway, the brand new $70 million Eastern creek speedway in Sydney, Heartland Raceway in Moama, and possibility of some other interstate events still to be confirmed
